Classic boat magazine have a competition that we are entering and we need your help. Please can you vote for us in the below Classic Boat Awards, It’s simple, all you need to do is follow the link below, and make sure you select the Lively Lady for the restored sailing vessel under 40ft category! There are also some very worthy entries for the other categories too :
If you need a little recap, this is what Classic Boat have to say about her:
“the Lively Lady, designed by Fred Shepherd and built by SJP Cambridge in 1948, hardly needs an introduction as the yawl made famous by Sir Alec Rose in 1966/7. She’s been highly original for years and her recent restoration, started in 2017, at the Hayling Island Yacht Company, has been sensitive to that fact. The 36ft teak on paduak yacht has had a new deck and all internals refurbished, but where possible, small sections of rot in the hull were scarphed, rather than re-planked.
Lively Lady is a nominee in our 2019 Awards, in the Restored Sailing Vessel under 40ft (12.2m) category.
Voting closes 9 March. so make sure you VOTE NOW!
We very much appreciate your support, many thanks the Lively Lady team.
